Shalom Dhwani Matrimonial is a trusted, faith-based matrimonial service for the Pentecostal community, maintained by the Shalom Dhwani editorial office. This guide walks you through everything — creating an account, posting a marriage profile, searching for a match, and connecting with a family safely. Please also read our Matrimonial Policy & Guidelines before you begin.
1. Before you begin
- The service is intended for believers of the Pentecostal / Christian community who are seeking marriage, and for parents posting on behalf of their son or daughter.
- You will need a valid e-mail address and a mobile number (or a Google account — see below).
- Every account and every profile is reviewed by our office before it goes live.
2. Create your account
- Go to the Matrimonial Account page (also reachable from the “Post your profile / Member login” button on the matrimonial page).
- Click Create an account and fill in your name, e-mail, mobile number (with country code), and a password (entered twice, to catch typos) — or click Continue with Google to sign up instantly with your Google account instead.
- Signing up with Google the first time? We’ll ask for your mobile number once, right after, since every member needs one on file.
- Submit the form. Your account is now awaiting approval by our office.
- You will receive an e-mail once your account is approved. Only then can you log in.
3. Log in
For your security, a password login uses two-step e-mail verification:
- On the Member Login screen, enter your e-mail and password (or click Continue with Google — Google verifying you instantly means you skip the code-entry step below).
- We e-mail you a 6-digit code. Enter it on the verification screen to finish logging in. (Check your spam folder if you don’t see it; you can also click Resend code.)
4. Add a profile
After logging in you reach your My Profiles dashboard. Click + Add new profile and complete the form. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required:
- Candidate’s full name, gender, date of birth, marital status, denomination / church, country, languages known and occupation are compulsory.
- Other helpful details: height, complexion, home assembly / parish, education, place / district / state, and a short “About / Family / Expectations” note.
- Profile photo — upload a clear, recent, decent photograph of the candidate. If you leave it empty, a neutral male/female icon is shown.
- Click Submit profile. Your profile is saved and sent for review.
5. Review, approval & profile badges
- Newly submitted profiles show as Pending review and are not visible on the site until our office approves them.
- Once approved, the profile appears in the public Matrimonial listing.
- Any edit sends the profile back for review before the change goes live.
- You may see small badges on a profile — here is what each one means: a green “Verified” check means our office has confirmed the candidate’s identity (e.g. after a call or document check); a gold “New” tag marks a profile published in the last 7 days; a “Private” lock means the office has restricted that profile to logged-in members only. Verified and Private are set by our office, not by members.
6. Browse & search profiles
- Open the Matrimonial page and use the filter bar at the top: Bride / Groom, age range, place / district, mother tongue, residing country, and an “Office-verified only” checkbox to see only Verified profiles.
- Click Search to apply your filters, or Reset to clear them.
- Click any profile card, or View profile, to open the full profile page.
7. Save your search & get e-mail alerts
Don’t want to keep checking back? After setting your filters, click ☆ Save search & get alerts (you must be logged in). We’ll e-mail you once a day whenever a newly published profile matches your saved filters. Manage or turn this off any time from the Alerts tab in your dashboard.
8. Express Interest & connect with a family
To protect every member’s privacy, a profile’s phone number, family e-mail and extra photos are not shown publicly — they stay hidden until both sides agree to connect:
- On a profile you’re interested in, click ♡ Express Interest. The other member sees this as a pending request.
- They can Accept & connect or Decline. You can Cancel a request you’ve sent while it’s still pending.
- Once both sides connect, the family’s contact details and any extra photos on that profile unlock for both of you, and you’ll see “Connected” on the profile.
Track everything — sent, received, and connected — from the Interests tab in your dashboard.
9. Shortlist your favourites
Found a profile you want to come back to? Click ☆ Save to shortlist on that profile (on the search page this appears as a small star icon on the photo). Review, and remove, your saved profiles any time from the Shortlist tab in your dashboard.
10. Manage your profiles
- From My Profiles you can Edit or Delete any profile you created.
- One account can manage more than one profile — useful for a parent posting for more than one son or daughter.
- Please remove or update a profile promptly once the marriage is fixed.
11. Forgot your password?
On the login screen click Forgot password?, enter your account e-mail, and we will send you a secure link to set a new password.
12. Tips for a good profile
- Give true and complete information — it builds trust.
- Use a clear, recent photograph of the candidate only.
- Write the “About” note prayerfully and honestly, including your church background and expectations.
- Only Express Interest on profiles you are genuinely considering — it’s the first step toward connecting a family with yours.
